Phishing

Phishing is dangerous mainly when you use a credit card such as Visa/Mastercard etc. Although you probably don't own such cards, your parents might. Some parents lend their credit card to their children in order to allow them to make online purchases - and this is where things become risky! There are malicious people out there who do all possible to steal one's creadit card details so that they can then steal money from one's bank account.

This way of tricking people into giving away their credit card details is called Phishing.

Please be aware of this as these thieves are quite professional! They might send you Emails which look authentic as if coming from your bank. One thing to keep in mind - take is as a rule in fact - NO BANK ASKS YOU FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS OR PASSWORDS/PIN NUMBERS THROUGH EMAIL (not even via telephone - look up Smishing)
